I started riding at my grandma’s farm in Pennsylvania, and I’ve basically been hooked ever since. Horses run in my family, my grandma is a trainer at her farm, my mom rode, and my sister and I just kept it going. I started taking regular lessons back down here in North Carolina with my mom’s cousin Jana.

I’ve been riding for about 15 years. I spent around 13 of those in the hunter ring before getting into eventing, and I love the mix of discipline, grit, and effort it takes.

Mic will always be my favorite horse, every rider has that one, and he’s mine.

As a trainer, I’m pretty no-nonsense when it comes to hard work, safety, and doing things the right way… but I’m also all nonsense when it comes to having fun, laughing, and making sure people actually enjoy the sport.
